Recycling: Even the Universe Does It!

One morning, I found out that my bin is already full-it was filled with stuff which has accumulated with this past few days. The garbage is combining of crumpled paper, plastic bottle, and empty can of soft drinks. I realized how many times in a week, in a month, in a year does my bin became full. I asked myself, where does our garbage after the collector collected the garbage; it made me realized with that material, that moment I realized that I became a part of one serious problem in our world, which is producing too much waste. I ask myself, is there anything we can do? Maybe we don’t care but it’s about time for us to do something. According to Merriam Webster (2012), Recycle is “to process in order to regain material for human use”.

The earth is crying out for help. We need to get more people involved in recycling to make big difference; the world would be a better place if everyone would recycle. Recycling has its vital role in our world today. It is important that everyone becomes educated about recycling, Recycling,  'healing' the Earth in many ways, such as helping to slow global warming, diminishing acid rain, reducing water pollution, conserving landfill space, and lowering pollutants in the air. Like stop those people cutting the trees, factory dispose chemical in the river and burning garbage.

Recycling is easy as ABC, because trash is cash for others, so don’t be a couch potato. But what are the common things that can be recycled? How helpful recycling can be? Maybe we don’t care because we don’t think recycling affects us, but the truth is, recycling is beneficial to us. Recycling is the process of collecting certain materials that would otherwise be considered waste like soda cans, paper, or plastic and glass bottles for example- process them so that they can be use it again. (“Why is Recycling Important?”,nd)

The first thing that we have to know in process of recycling, we have to know what are the things that can be recycled and things that cannot be recycled. Basic steps in recycling, collect, prepare, manufacture and use. In my own example, recycling old newspaper may produce egg cartons, new news paper, paperboard, kitty litter, paper bag, etc. Recycling soda cans may produce new soda cans, as a raw material in producing aluminum wheeled chair; glass bottle aside from new bottles, it may become as raw material producing fiber glass; plastic bottles usually used in producing raw material for outdoor garments or furniture, carpets, and sleeping bags and skin jacket insulation.

In recycling we have to classify our stuff o garbage into two, the first one is biodegradable, an item that has the ability to decompose back into the natural surroundings without causing harm, and the other one is non- biodegradable materials, they referring to an object that cannot be decomposed into environmentally safe waste materials. Those materials are only made by man like plastics, metals, cans and papers. They are made from non-renewable ingredients. Since they don't decompose, we can use them again or recycle them. Biodegradable materials, this are the materials that can be used for natural fertilizer by decomposing it or broken down by bacteria and fungi like rotten fruits, leaves and vegetables.
Doing a little bit each day can make a difference in the environment around you. One of the best things you can do is learn more about recycling, and especially to spread the word and encourage others to recycle as much as possible. Garbage and waste will not disappear by itself but we can find ways to reuse that matter in efficient earth friendly ways. It all starts with you. Be an example. I feel touched when people recycle since they care about mother earth.

We are now on the scenario that we have a large volume of waste and up to now it is a wide spreading problem and looks like no ending., imagine how many earthly attractions and regions will be destroyed from accumulations of garbage; we might not notice the effect in having that condition, but eventually, we have experiencing some changes on our surroundings. The earth is now taking its revenge silently. We are encountering global warming and climate change due of the pollutions produced of our waste. If we don’t do something today, when will be the right time? In this current situation, we can do something; we can be a part on healing our wounded earth, by means of recycling. We have to recycle for us to have conserves natural resources and limits pollution. Recycling benefits everybody, and takes only a little trash-sorting to put into effect. If we all take part in recycling, then the effect of this event would be the preservation of our natural resources, thus saving sections of the earth for inhabitance of humans stretching out the amount of time we are all here. Waste consists of everything from paper and plastic to metal and copper. Tess Evans (2007) stated that most people usually do not give this issue a second thought, because they just think by themselves and what will happen to our next generation.  But in order to start saving our planet, recycling is the best way to show how committed we are to making our world a safer, healthier place to live. There are many ways to help in the act of recycling, even if you think you are too young to do anything useful.
A lot of reasons as stated before of why recycling nowadays are important in our community because it can save our money, energy and non-renewable resources. Then, we can say that even if materials are being “recycled” can still make some importance in our daily life. But of course, it’s up to us of how to save our environment, of willing to or not, because it’s easy to say: “I will help in recycling things”, yet hard to perform. So starting now, keep recycling everything that we can use it again so our trash will be less and try to make our nation clean and plant more trees to keep our nation green so we can feel the clean air that we breathe.
To sum up, the volume of our waste is getting bigger; we are all experiencing changes on our surroundings. We still have ample time to make some changes that could help our earth, by means of recycle; reuse, reduce and recycle, three words but one big help. It benefits everybody, and takes only a little trash-sorting to put into effect. We have to start spreading the word and encourage others to recycle as much as possible because garbage and waste will not disappear by itself.
