De La Salle University (DLSU) is one of the most well-known universities in the Philippines, where every Lasallian are trained to be English speakers. With the help of my professor in ENGLCOM, my comprehension and grammar have improved a lot. For example, to determine the subject-verb agreement, to use the proper punctuation marks, to know the use of transitional devices and to cite an APA citation, to make a paragraph with coherence without plagiarizing and to use the proper tense of the verb. It is important for us to learn more about English because English is the universal language of the world. I may not have a 4.0 grade in ENGLCOM but I know that in the future, I would be able to further enhance my vocabulary and my comprehension. In order for me to achieve this, I must study hard and do my best.
I know ENGLCOM is a great course because even with the few meetings we had in grammar and writing, in such a short period of time, we were able to improve our language and adjust to our college life. This course also helps the students to achieve their goals by improving necessary skills in their industry. To sum it up, ENGLCOM is a great help to all freshmen for achieving their dreams. Learning is a two-way process, if the students do their part and study hard, they would surely achieve their goals in the end.
